Donald Wayne Kelley, age 83, of Powderly, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 20, 2025.

Donald was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life reflected a deep love for God and a servant's heart. He spent many years working faithfully with Austin Bridge Company and Hilliard and Sons, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

Above all else, Donald cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter Joretta Starkweather; his grandson Brock Starkweather and wife Ann, and their children Grayson and Emerson Starkweather; his son Michael Kelley and wife Trudy; grandchildren Michael Dewayne Kelley and wife Jessica and their children Parker and Caroline, Courtney Wood and husband Zak and their child Braydon, Chance, Kelley and wife Nina and their children Ryder and Silas. He is also survived by his beloved sister Wanda Carico and her husband Larry.

Donald will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his gentle spirit, and the love he freely gave to those around him. He lived his life serving others and honoring the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and devotion. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Gospel Lighthouse PCOG.

A funeral service will be held on December 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Donald's life and the hope he held firmly in Christ.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for Donald, an awesome man and true Texas gentleman. He was so loved by his children, grandchildren and great children, and will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.
