Donald Lanier

Donald Lanier, age 93, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born December 29, 1931 in Broken Arrow, OK to Judson and Myrtle (Hammontree) Lanier. Don graduated high school in Broken Arrow and then joined the United States Air Force. He then worked on the family farm before working for John Zink. This opportunity moved him and his wife Lawana (she passed in 1973) and their two boys to the OKC area. Here he worked in sales with insurance and later paint supplies. In 1980 he married Bobbie Fay Walker and they blended two families and have spent the last 45 years together. They are members of the Bridge Assembly of God Church in Mustang. He loved watching car races, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Lawana, great grandson, Jackson, great-great grandson, Stetsyn, his parents, brother Bill and two sisters, Dorothy and Mattie Sue. Don is survived by his wife Bobbie, their four children, Rod Lanier and wife Leslie, Don Lanier and wife Teresa, Marcie Sims and husband Will and Charles Gibson and wife Celia, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at The Bridge Assembly of God Church, Mustang, OK with internment to follow at 2:30 at Red Hill Cemetery near Hammon, Oklahoma.
