Rosa Stavinoha Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNeil's Funeral Service on Mar. 11, 2026.
Rosa Lee (Gibson) Stavinoha, age 92, passed away, Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was born February 4, 1934, in Oklahoma City to Ray and Rosa (Gatz) Gibson. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Mount St. Mary Catholic High School and later attended business school. She married the love of her life, Robert Stavinoha and they married in December of 1964, spending nearly 60 years together before his passing in 2023. They enjoyed bowling together and were long time members at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosa worked for a time with an insurance company, but her favorite job was creating a loving home for her family. Her house was a home for anyone needing a place to belong. She is remembered as being a "mom" to many, especially around the holidays. She would say that there was always room for one more, she was a very giving and loving person. Rosa's joy was her family, spending time with them, making them laugh and being "Nana" to her grands. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Pop", her parents and brother Raymond. Rosa is survived by her three sons: Robert John Jr. and wife Rosalie, Michael Ray and wife Robbie and Stephen J. and wife Tammy, seven grandchildren: Nicole Rose, Sarah Ann, Michael Allen, Rachel Lynn, Laura Dawn, Nicholas Andrew and Zachary Stephen and seven great grandchildren: Jonah, Cooper, Trevor, Ryker, Nora, Charlotte and Nico as well as other family and friends.
