Kristi Lynn (Smith) Greeson, 70, of Moore, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 25, 2025. Kristi was born on September 3, 1954, in Oklahoma City, to the late Lowell and Virginia Smith. Kristi grew up in South Oklahoma City.
Kristi graduated from Mount St. Mary High School in 1972, where she was once a majorette and cheerleader. Go Rockets! Growing up Kristi was always the life of the party, and everyone has expressed how likeable and fun she was to be around. She is known for her spunk, laughter, generosity, and love for sports.
Kristi married her late husband, Jerry, on New Years Eve 1989, and they had 18 fun-filled years of marriage before his passing. They were big time sports fans! They loved the OU Sooners! They also spent many years enjoying NASCAR races together. The family spent most of every summer on Lake Tenkiller.
Kristi worked for the US Postal Service for nearly 38 years before retiring. After retirement, she found herself loving a new hobby of quilting and sewing. She and many dear friends would spend days together working on projects. She enjoyed her time and companionship with these ladies so much.
Family was very important to Kristi. She was there in a heartbeat to help when anyone needed her; and she enjoyed spending time with her late parents, her brother (Chip), sister-in-law (Raylene), and niece (Brittny). She was a wonderful and loving mother to her daughters Kari and Suzanne, and step-daughter Angela; and the best and most giving Mema to her grandchildren; Macie, Tanner, Harlea, Marley, and Ace; and most recently great-grandmema to Luka Alexander Rubio. Kristi was very proud of her family and where she came from.
Kristi is survived by her loving daughters, Kari Collamore and Suzanne Freed (Noah); and her beloved grandchildren, Macie (Nick) Rubio, Tanner (Sarah) Robinson, Harlea (Carl) Robinson, and Marley and Ace Freed. She is also survived by her brother, Lowell Smith, Jr. (Chip) and sister-in-law Raylene, and niece Brittny; and her beloved (and spoiled) furry companion, Bobby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Virginia Smith, her late husband Jerry Greeson, and a host of family and friends ready to welcome her. Kristi was the best Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend. We all have so many great memories with Kristi, and she will be missed by so many!
Kristis' life will be celebrated on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel (S.W. 104th, OKC, between Western and Walker).
