Donald A. LeBlanc

Donald A. LeBlanc, age 90, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, June 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen (Newell) LeBlanc.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on July 9, 1933, to the late Emma (Senechal) and Andrew LeBlanc. Donald was a longtime city resident and attended St. Jacques Grammar and Taunton High School. Donald was a proud Navy Veteran, who served on the USS Bennington aircraft carrier during the Korean war. He was a member of the Raynham American Legion and a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. Prior to his retirement, Donald was a co-owner of his family's business, Andy's Market on Bay St. in Taunton. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially during the summer months by his pool. Donald was an avid Boston sports fan, and an ice cream connoisseur, his favorite being Hood coffee flavored ice cream.
Survived by his children Donna Tavares and husband Joseph, Michael LeBlanc and wife Liz and Karen Joyce and husband James, his adored grandchildren Emily and Abbey Tavares, Andrew and Evan LeBlanc and Benjamin and Jack Joyce. Donald was also the brother of the late Jeannette Gaffney, Normand LeBlanc and Robert LeBlanc.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, from 4:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St. Taunton at 9:30am, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
