Donald Eugene Lewis was born January 8, 1943, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. He was the first child born to the late Evelyn Green Prattis of Easton, PA. and the late Lera Lewis of Phillipsburg, NJ. He was the stepson to Percy Prattis.
Donald was employed by Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center, Staten Island, NY. Prior to that he was employed at Baley Seton Hospital, Staten Island, NY. He worked as an Operating Room Tech for 46 years. He retired in 2008 and relocated to Sumter, SC in 2012.
Donald was a long-time member of First Central Baptist Church, Staten Island, NY. Upon relocating to Sumter, SC, Donald became a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
Donald loved listening to music, spending time outdoors, and trips to Atlantic City, NJ. His easy going and sociable personality made him a joy to get along with. He was a loving husband, good-hearted, and always helpful to others. He remained close to family and friends and was a good son.
Donald was preceded in death by a brother, William Weeks.
Donald leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Lucille Nelson Lewis; daughter, Yvette Johnson Trelease (Scott); son, Michael Nelson of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren; brother, Debbin Weeks of Easton, PA; sister-in-law, Debbie Pedreira, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

To the family of Uncle Donald as he was affectionately known by my sons, his nephews (Marcus, Debbin II & Jarrod); we extend our sincerest heartfelt condolences. As much as it hurts to let go I hope you find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. I pray the peace of God over your heart and mind bring you comfort during this difficult time. We knew Uncle Donald as a kind, fun-loving man & we will cherish our loving memories of him coming from New York to PA to visit. Rest in peace Uncle Donald.
