Donald Locklear

Donald Ray Locklear, 80, of 1289 Shannon Road, Lumberton, NC, was born on June 23rd, 1943. He departed from this life and went home to be with the LORD on October 26th, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Locklear; his mother, Lester Maynor Locklear; his stepfather, Jessie Locklear; his son Donavon Kendrick Locklear; two brothers, Chasie Maynor and James Locklear; two sisters, Ellen Locklear Jones and Linda Locklear Norton; three stepsisters, Ethel Ransom, Virgina Locklear, and Mary Lee Hargrove; three stepbrothers, Wilton Locklear, Samuel Locklear, and Jessie Leno Locklear.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucinda Chavis Locklear, daughter Donna (Ray) Brewington, and only granddaughter Kasey (Aaron) Murdock. Two brothers, Jessie Arnold Locklear and Gary Locklear; one adopted sister, Hilda Locklear; three step sisters; Martha Lowery, Rosie J. Gray, and Norlene Jones; An Aunt, Isabel "Pet" Dial, and a host of other relatives.
Donald enjoyed his career as an industrial welder for over 30 years. Not only did he enjoy using his skills on the job, but loved welding custom grills, swings, and tables that the family will forever cherish. He enjoyed fellowshipping with friends and loved spending time with his family. Most of all, he enjoyed worshipping the Lord at Freedom Baptist Church with his church family.
