Donald "Donnie" J. Loeffelholz, 85, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI; with Fr. Tom Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis de Sales Church Cemetery in Hazel Green, WI. Family & friends may call on Saturday, January 17th from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Donnie was born on November 23, 1940 to Joseph & Bertha (Miesen) Loeffelholz in Tennyson, WI. He married Linda J. Schumacher on April 29, 1967, at Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque, IA.

He worked for many years at the Dubuque Pack and drove vehicles for Tri-State Auto Auction. Donnie enjoyed western movies, traveling west to see the sights, a hunting trip to Montana, and driving all over the countryside. He was a great story teller and had a fantastic sense of humor. He enjoyed a good BS session in the front yard or next door at the Hillary Oil Company and later the Symons Auto Center. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. His granddaughters have only known him by one name, "Papa Bear." He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Donnie is survived by 3 sons: John D. Loeffelholz of Fitchburg, WI, James D. Loeffelholz of Eatonville, WA & Louis M. Loeffelholz of Gratiot, WI; 2 grandchildren: Emily Jean (Colton) Cunningham & Lauren Ann Loeffelholz; a great-grandson, Barrett "Baby Bear" William Cunningham; 2 brothers: Dick Loeffelholz & Dale Loeffelholz; 4 sisters-in-law: Kathleen Loeffelholz of Machesney Park, IL, Louetta (Earl) Kurt of Cascade, IA, Patricia (Kirk) Lee of East Dubuque, IL & Penelope (Virgil) Schneider of Dubuque, IA; 4 brothers-in- law: Robert J. (Ruth) Schumacher Jr. of East Dubuque, IL, John Henry Schumacher of South Carolina, James Michael Schumacher of California & Joshua M. Coder of Maryland; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda in 2013, his parents, in-laws: Myra & Earl Rapp, father in-law, Robert Schumacher, a brother, Joseph L. (Kathleen) Loeffelholz, a sister, Patricia Loeffelholz, and a sister in-law, Pamela Myers.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Donald "Donnie" J. Loeffelholz Memorial Fund has been established.
