LaVerna Loeffelholz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by YANDA & SON FUNERAL HOME - YUKON from Jul. 22 to Jul. 30, 2025.
LaVerna Marie Loeffelholz, age 72, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 in Oklahoma City. She went home to be with the Lord peacefully while in the company of loved ones, both family and friends. Laverna was born in Gainesville, Texas, on September 8, 1951, to Lawrence and Olivia Dulock Streng. She grew up in Lindsay Texas, graduating from Lindsay High School, then working at a dress factory for several years. She then married John Loeffelholz on March 8, 1974, and moved to Yukon, Oklahoma, where she reared her 4 sons on the Loeffelholz homestead. She taught her family how to love and serve the Lord in all they do by setting the example herself. She helped her church in many capacities, one of which was by being the Sunday School secretary for many years, a trait her sons still carry on today. She supported her family in all that they wanted to accomplish and was able to help them achieve their dreams while showing them her great love and encouragement in each endeavor they began and fulfilled. Her love of numbers and great ability to work with people carried her through the many stages of her life as she helped her children in their pursuits and husband in his work. She ministered to those she came in contact with each day through their business, and had a way of helping everyone see that they could become the best version of themselves with support from those around them and a little hard work of their own. She was able to guide, mentor, and support her husband, sons, and their families, leaving them a legacy that a life of service to the Lord will bring the greatest fulfillment in their own lives they could ever hope to achieve. Laverna was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Olivia Streng; and two of her sisters Marcella Streng and Shirley Nagy. She is survived by her husband John Loeffelholz; 4 sons and their families: David (Lisa) Loeffelholz, Philip (Ashley) Loeffelholz, James Loeffelholz, and Matthew (Misty) Loeffelholz; 7 grandchildren: Lindsay, Megan, and Lauren Loeffelholz, Caiden Loeffelholz, and Alex, Ezra, and Piper Loeffelholz; and her sister Kathy Lutkenhaus. Please join us as we remember the wonderful life of Laverna Loeffelholz on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. The service will be held at Discovery Church, 900 E. Main St., Yukon, OK, followed by the interment at Yukon Cemetery.
