Donald Ray "Don" Loyd

Donald Ray "Don" Loyd, 84, of Magazine, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born April 13, 1938 in the Sugar Grove community, to the late Edward Odean and Marie Estelle (Beason) Loyd.
Don was the water superintendent for the city of Magazine for many years. He served as a school bus driver for 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Magazine and served in the US Army.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping, playing guitar, baseball and coaching baseball, and singing at church.
He is preceded in death by his parents before mentioned and an infant daughter.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Magazine with burial in Ellington Cemetery in Magazine, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Priscilla Loyd of the home; 2 sons, Gary Don Loyd and wife Diana of Magazine and Danny Ray Loyd and wife Lisa of Magazine; 1 brother, Bill Loyd and wife Jo of Magazine; 2 sisters, Lois Ann Witt and husband Lonnie of Magazine and Janice Sue Beavers and husband Clifton of Booneville; 4 grandchildren, Brennen Loyd, Arielle Holloway and husband Jake, Brent Loyd and wife Caelyn, and Abby Loyd; other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers Eric Jones, Cliff McAnally, Randy Loyd, Taylor Neitert, Jake Holloway, and Brent Loyd.
