Donald MacDonald, 93 of Cresskill New Jersey ,passed away Sunday, February 1st, 2026 at home surrounded by loved ones. Donald was born 12/19/32; in Jersey City, NJ.to Anna (nee Catracchia) and Robert MacDonald. He was a career Plumber (1981-1996) for the Meadowlands, Sports Complex. Donald was a Marine Corp - Corporal - November 29th, 1951 - August 1952 (Korean War) USMCR Korean service metal with one service star - UN ribbon.

Beloved husband of the late, Marion MacDonald (Fitzsimons). Devoted father of Nancy MacDonald, Marion Kelley (Tim) and the late Lori Wiley. Grandfather of John Wiley (Jessica), Angela Wiley, Christine Cutolo (John), Kathleen Steccato (Peter), Eddie Wilkin (Tommy), Harry Kelley (Amy) and Joseph Kelley. Great Grandfather of (John Jr., Katie, Jacob, Georgie, Dylan, Cameron, Tessa, and Vincent). Great Great Grandfather of (Cace, Elise)

We celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man, a devoted husband, proud grandfather, cherished great-grandfather, and even a great-great-grandfather, whose life was rich with love, laughter, and stories that will be told for generations.

At the center of everything he did was family. Time spent together, whether gathered around a table, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, was what mattered most to him. He took immense pride in watching his family grow, and his legacy lives on through each generation he so dearly loved.

He knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. From the excitement of horse betting and trips to the casino, golf outings with friends, to quiet days spent hunting and enjoying the outdoors, he embraced his passions fully and unapologetically. A proud member of the American Legion Post 21, he valued camaraderie, service, and time well spent with others. And of course, no remembrance of his life would be complete without mentioning his favorite drink-VO-often enjoyed in good company with even better conversation.

He lived with spirit, humor, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. While he will be deeply missed, his family chooses to remember him not with sadness, but with gratitude, for the memories made, the laughter shared, and the love he gave so freely. His life was well-lived, and his impact will be felt forever.

So many great memories- many family dinners growing up, turkey shoots, hanging out at Grammys and Mac´s hearty laugh! And, the many years Tom went hunting with Mac. He will be missed but he´s with Mom2 (probably singing Kenny Rodgers lol) and all the others drinking homemade wine again. Our sincere condolences to Marion, Nancy, Timmy and the rest of the family. Your father, grandfather and great grandfather was good guy.
