Don loved to travel – "he said it was the gypsy in him", enjoying all the adventures they had together, visiting all fifty states. He always said the greatest achievement in life were his three children and he loved his grandchildren, with all his heart.
He his survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Mary Jane, son, Matthew (Shea), daughters, Christina (Tim) and Amy, grandchildren, Sarah, Griffin, Maddie and Jack, brothers, George (Sally) Mellendorf and Roger (Katren) Mellendorf, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death brothers, Ron and Perry, sisters, Gloria, Donna and Mary Lou.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home - Port Huron.

Another one of us is hopefully in heaven and we will see him again. Don was a man I remember with a great positive attitude and a great big smile on his face! God bless his family.
