Donald Gene Midkiff

Donald Gene Midkiff, 62, of Columbia Station, Ohio passed away on June 14, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 7, 1960, to the (late) Robert and Monazella "Monie" Midkiff (nee Roberts). Donald will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Karen L. Midkiff (nee Schulz); loving father of Clinton J. (Grace) Midkiff and Jackson T. Midkiff; cherished and devoted Grandpa of Maximilian J. Midkiff and Mina G. Midkiff; dear brother of Robert Dean (Debbie) Midkiff; loving son-in-law of Donata "Dona" Schulz; many nieces, nephews, several great nieces & nephews, and a host of extended family and dear friends, many of whom considered him a brother or father figure. Don was an Olmsted Falls graduate (1979), was a roofer by trade, retiring in 2021. Don's passion and greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, spending every Sunday with them. Don enjoyed camping, he was an avid fisherman, a die hard Steelers fan and a NASCAR enthusiast. Don always had a kind word to say and was a most generous person, always willing to help anyone in need. Don touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed, yet never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 at 4-8 pm. A Celebration of Life funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 10 am service.
