Donald J. Miller

Donald J. "Don" Miller, age 70, of Antioch, passed away peacefully after an 18-month fight with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, in the early morning hours of Monday, December 8, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Don was born in Woodstock on Friday, July 8, 1955, to Daniel and Theresa (Condon) Miller. He was a 1973 graduate of Richmond-Burton High School and on September 9, 1978, he was united in marriage to his beautiful wife, Kimberly (Bute) Miller. Together they shared nearly 50 wonderful years of love and devotion.
Don was the proud proprietor of Mike More Miles in Waukegan for over 46 years, retiring in May of this year. He was always active and attentive to his family and although he wasn't a soccer player himself, he joyfully coached his children's teams during their youth. In his free time, Don could often be found casting a line with hopes of catching a fish or two. His most favorite place to be, however, was in the beautiful paradise of Hawaii, where he and his family spent every January together - a cherished tradition that brought sunshine to the cold winter months. Above all, Don was a true family man - a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring "Gaga." Through every challenge life presented, Don always found a way to reassure his family with his comforting words: "Everything is going to be alright." His trademark phrase will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him for all the years to come.
Survived by his wife, Kimberly; daughter, Kia (Jonathan) Schummer; son Daniel (Lillie) Miller; grandchildren, Charlie, Colton Schummer, Kiki Miller; siblings, Gary (Bonnie), Peg Miller; brother in-law, John Krausen; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his parents; sister, Cindy Krausen.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2818 Main Street, Spring Grove, IL.
