Robert Perdue Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home on Dec. 30, 2025.
Robert J. "Bob" Perdue, Jr. age 73 of Round Lake passed away suddenly on December 20, 2025, at his home. Bob was born on January 26, 1952, in Park Ridge, to Robert J. and Jacqueline (Joris) Perdue, Sr. Bob graduated from Maine Township High School South, class of 1970.
After high school Bob enrolled in Culver Stockton College for a year. Soon after he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army in January of 1972. He served our great country with pride as a Specialist Fifth Class (SP5, E-5) and completed his service with an Honorable Discharge in 1978. In his younger years, Bob found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and coaching his sons in soccer, but his happiest moments were shared on tent-camping adventures and memorable trips to the Wolf River with his children. Bob was a devoted father and a doting grandpa who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his sons, Robert (Ashley) Perdue III, Daniel (Cathy) Perdue; grandchildren, Katelyn, RJ, Riley, Colin, Kylie, Liam; siblings, Dave Perdue, Laura (Jeff) Dingman; Mother, Jacqueline Wesstrom; sister in-law, Kimberly Perdue; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his father Robert J. Perdue Sr; brother James Perdue.
A military burial was held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois, where Bob will be laid to rest with the honors he so proudly earned through his service to our country.
