Donald Joseph “Hogie Wolf” Oubre, born in Vacherie, LA on June 25, 1947, passed away at his home in Prairieville on March 31, 2025, at the age of 77. Donald was a faithful member of Graceworks Church of Prairieville. He proudly served in the US Army. Donald was an avid LSU Tigers fan. He bled purple and gold. When he wasn’t watching sports, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising his chickens and sitting outside watching the birds and squirrels. He cherished his 2 mini dachshunds (Penny and Ruby) and Australia Shepard (Skittle), gardening, working outside on projects, cooking and being with family and friends. Donald is survived by his wife, Jeanine Oubre; daughters, Shanna Oubre and spouse, Nicholas Bowes, Jodie Oubre, Ticia  Davis; son, Jared and wife, Christina Oubre; grandkids and great grandkids, Alivia Marie Johnson, Nicole and husband, Michael Ferguson and their children, Nola and Michael Jr., Jessica and husband, Jacob Gonzales along with their children, Zoey and Max, Oliver and Elias; Brother, “Catfish” and wife, Patsy Oubre, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his special friends, Lil Larry, Sonny, Doogie.

Donald is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica (Jesi) Oubre; parents, John Joseph Oubre and Lelia Marie Oubre; sisters, Mable, Joyce, Ada, Della and Grace; brother, Louis Oubre.

A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held at his home on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1:00pm.
