Donald Plank Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Funeral Homes & Crematory - Milton Chapel from Jan. 23 to Jan. 24, 2026.
Donald Hugh Plank, known affectionately as Don or Donnie, was born on August 19, 1943 in Defuniak Springs, Florida. He passed away on January 21, 2026 at 11:25 pm, at the age of 82, in Milton, Florida. Don lived a life defined by integrity, generosity, faith, and deep devotion to his family.

Don was married to the love of his life, Linda, for almost 52 years, a partnership he considered his greatest achievement.

Don is survived by his children, Jeff (Amy), Gretchen, John (Kim) and Stephanie; grandchildren, Wren, Megan, Lakelynn, Hunter, Abigail, Kameron, Julia, Brenden, Jack, and Sam; great-grandchildren, Kamen, Kaden, Emery, and Pearce and his brother, Larry (Pam).

Don graduated from the University of Houston as an electrical engineer. He worked many years at Telex Computer Products before pursuing his dream to return to Florida and build a life rooted in the land. He fulfilled that dream by founding and operating a successful plant nursery, where he worked as a dedicated and successful nurseryman for 36 years.

Don was an honest, non-judgmental, and giving man who would do anything he could to help others. His faith was central to his life, and he was deeply committed to his church and church family at First Baptist Church of Harold.

A funeral service honoring Don's life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, 6405 Highway 90 W, Milton, Florida 32570 with visitation from 10:30-11:00am and service at 11:00am. Don will be laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery in Laurel Hill, FL near the family property where many cherished memories were made.

Don's legacy lives on through his loving family, his unwavering faith, and the countless lives he touched through kindness and service. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
