Mary Alice Mott

Ms. Mary Mott, age 90, passed away on March 6, 2026. Mary was born on August 30, 1935, in Laurel Hill, Florida, to Zeffie and Linnnie Mott.

She was preceded in death by her father, Zeffie Mott; her mother, Linnie Mott; her sons, Keith Hutto and Dana Emmette; and five brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Sherilan Lane; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Mary was widely known as "MawMaw." She was also referred to as Evangelist Mott and Sis Mom, and most recently held the title of Admiral of the Prayer Force at the Family Worship Center on Jefferson Street.

Mary loved the Lord and His Word, and she knew the Bible from front to back. She ministered in many churches and pastored the Full Gospel Tabernacle in LaBelle, Florida, for several years. She enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and walking the trails around her property. She especially loved quiet afternoons sitting in her recliner and watching the birds outside her front window.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry.

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Mott will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in perry with Rev. Richard Sauls officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
