Robert Paul Tedder

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Paul (R.P.) Tedder Sr., who departed this life on March 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Robert was born on September 26, 1944, in Perry, Florida, and spent the majority of his life in the quiet community of Old Town, Florida.
A dedicated welder, R.P. devoted his career to the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his craft. Although he had a modest education, he possessed a wealth of practical knowledge and life experience that inspired those around him.
R.P. cherished the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing, activities that brought him closer to nature and created lasting memories with his family. He was a man who valued the simple pleasures in life, often spending precious moments surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and love.
He is preceded in death by both his parents: John Herman and Henri Etta Tedder, his beloved son; Joe Tedder, as well as his brothers; Calvin Buckanan, Bryant Tedder, J.H. Tedder Jr., Richmond Tedder, Jack Tedder, his two sisters, Wanda Cash, and Violeteen Anderson.
R.P. is survived by his two sons; Adam Tedder (Danielle), Robbie Tedder (Shelby), his two daughters; Veda Farmer (Randy), Angie Barr (Bill), as well as his sister; Bettie Jane Holton, who continues to carry his memories along with his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family invites you to celebrate R.P.'s life and legacy through a gathering of friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry, Florida, with a visitation held an hour prior.
We will honor R.P.'s life, sharing stories of his adventures in the great outdoors and the warmth he brought to his family and friends.
In this moment of reflection, let us remember R.P. for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered as a man of strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to family.
