Donald was the son of Martin Melvin Rector and Julina Johnson Rector. He was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his: parents, and son, Jeremy Duane Rector.
Donald is survived by his spouse: Teresa Rector of Cookeville; daughter: Shannon Rector of Cookeville, TN; sisters: Josephine (Victor Eldridge) Carmack of Gainesboro, TN, Wilma (Donald) Mabe of Monroe, TN and Carolyn Hansen of Hilham, TN; grandchildren: Tyler Millsaps of Cookeville, TN, Kylee (Tyler) Dicken of Celina, TN, Mason Rector of Gainesboro, TN, Morgan (Ayden Fontana) Rector of Gallatin, TN and Clara Grace Spohn of Cookeville, TN, and best friend, Judy "Ju Ju" Kinnaird of Hilham, TN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 5 pm until 9 pm. On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, visitation will be held again from 9 am to 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Dodson Branch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help assist the family with the funeral expense by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
