Donald was born on June 25, 1939, in Gaston County NC to the late Wilbur and Margie Sherrill.
Left to cherish Don's memory is his wife Barbara Sherrill of Pawleys Island; Son Joseph Sherrill of Louisburg NC; Daughter Kathryn Bennett of Wake Forest NC; Matthew O'Brien of Columbus OH; Catherine Davidson of Troutman NC; and seven grandchildren. Donald will truly be missed by his family and friends
Don loved to play and watch golf. He also enjoyed hunting whenever he had the chance. Donald was also a big Nascar racing fan.

I worked with Don at Standard Trucking company and then also was a carrier for his logistics company. Don was always a special person to me and will forever be in my memory. Thank you Barbara for taking such great care of Don ! He loved you deeply.
