Donald Edwin Siler was born September 7, 1961, and passed from this life November 16, 2025.
Donald's life was defined by the people he loved. Family was at the heart of everything he did, from cookouts to holiday gatherings, and he cherished every moment spent with those closest to him. His loyal dogs, Buddy, Spanky, and Sissy his beloved bonus "sons" and "daughter" were never far from his side. Among all the relationships he treasured, the time he shared with his brother, Steve, held a special place in his heart.
A devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan, Donald rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team. Some of his happiest days were those when two of his favorite things came together, OU football and a good cookout.
From a young age, Donald had a passion for cars. He soon discovered a natural talent for sales and built a successful career helping people find vehicles they loved. His easygoing nature and genuine trustworthiness earned him many sales awards over the years, but more importantly, the respect and appreciation of countless customers and coworkers.
Donald loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays. And no celebration was complete without lemon meringue pie, one of his greatest simple joys. He ordered it whenever he saw it on a menu, though he always believed nothing compared to a homemade slice.
With a generous heart and deep compassion, Donald found joy in serving others. He devoted time to local ministries, particularly those feeding the unhoused in his community. He lived his faith sincerely, not only in quiet moments of prayer, where he faithfully thanked the Lord for his many blessings, but through consistent acts of kindness to those in need.
Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering gratitude. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his cherished son, DeeJay Lowe and daughter-in-law Nichole; siblings Linda Sherrill, Steve Siler, Carl Siler, Sheila Grimmer, Sherry Friel, Melvin, Little Donnie, and Ginger; and by nieces and nephews Amanda Broussard, Mason McNeil, Dominic Morales, Kayden, Kal, and Kenadi Sherrill, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Jean Siler and Donald Perry Siler; his beloved, Dwana Lowe; son, Dante Lowe; brother, Thomas Sherrill; nephew, David Larry Broussard III; and his "sons," Buddy, Spanky and "daughter," Sissy.
