Shirley Clorene Fleener, 92, of Oklahoma City, went to be with our Lord November 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in OKC to Earnest and Letha Nunley. she graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1951.
On July 29, 1950 Shirley married Buddy Fleener her husband and sweetheart of 65 years. She retired from South Community Hospital after 25 years working as a Histologist where she made many lifelong friends. Together, Buddy and Shirley had 4 children that were the focus of their lives. The two of them created a legacy of love that continued in their children and grandchildren.
They were proud lifelong members at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Along with Buddy, she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and music.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Fleener, parents Earnest and Letha Nunley, brother Paul Nunley and wife Billie Jo, nephew Mark Nunley, in-laws Ray and Hazel Fleener, brother in law Dr. Keith Coltharp and wife Bonnie, and great granddaughter Hailey Kirby.
She is survived by daughter Kathy Keesee and husband Ray, sons Randy Fleener and wife Paula, Brett Fleener and wife Vicki, and Jeff Fleener and wife Debbie, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Shirley will be remembered for her fierce love for her family and her giving spirit for others and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Visitation will be at John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore on Friday, November 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 22nd at Sunnylane Cemetery 4000 SE 29th street Del City, Oklahoma.
