Robert William Russell, 93, of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025. He was born on October 19, 1932, in Mobile, Alabama, to Thomas Milton Russell and Gladys Moore.
As the eldest of his siblings, Robert joined the United States Marine Corps as a young man and served stateside during the Korean War. They welcomed two children, Stacy and Amy.
After retiring from Tinker Air Force Base in 1988, Robert and Barbara embarked on several business ventures together and went on to manage multiple hotel chains. Robert was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and playing with his children.
When he became a grandfather, Robert embraced the role wholeheartedly. Known affectionately as "Pop," he cherished traveling, sightseeing, and making memories with his grandchildren.
