Donald (Don) Peter St. Cyr, 75, went to sleep in his bed on August 9 th, 2025, and was awakened in heaven by his Savior Jesus Christ. He was born February 19, 1950, to Victor Albert and Helen Agnes Doyle St. Cyr in Lowell, Massachusetts. He lived a life of sacrifice and service to those he loved. He served with the Air Force in the Vietnam War. Then he served his community and family working for AEP. Upon retirement he began feeding families and folks who soon became friends at Love and Care Ministries. He volunteered with Love and Care for 15 years and took great delight in sneaking cakes and candy to children who came in with their mothers.
He is loved and will be greatly missed by his children: Shawn (Jonni) St. Cyr, Angie St. Cyr, and Adam (Sarah) St. Cyr; grandchildren Austin St. Cyr, Shane St. Cyr, Kelsea (Michael) Stump, Layne (Lauren) Turner, Andrew St. Cyr, and Aaron Peter St. Cyr; and great-grandchildren Carter Stump, Cannon Stump, Lily Turner, and Lorelei Turner.
We know that we do "not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
A Memorial Service will be held promptly at 1pm on August 22, 2025 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Anyone desiring to send a gift honoring Don is encouraged to donate to Love and Care Ministries.
