Donald E. Stratton, age 67, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 29, 2025. He was born in Covington, Kentucky, on December 11, 1957, to M. Melvin and Ruby Stratton (née Dingus).
Donald is preceded in death by his father, M. Melvin Stratton; mother, Ruby Stratton; and brothers, Ron and Ernie Stratton. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, June (Robert Lee) Sizelove, Peggy (Randall) McComas, Dotty (Bob) Hood, and his brother, J. Michael (Maryanna) Stratton. He also leaves behind a host of family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Throughout his life, Donald found joy in many simple pleasures, including a fondness for Elvis, cheerleading, dancing, and the magic of Christmas and Santa Claus, but most of all his greatest joy was participating in the Special Olympics. His enthusiasm also extended to the adventures of Batman, and he had a special fondness for food, particularly beans and cornbread, donuts, and all things sweet. Donald cherished his time at Camp Northward. Over the years he collected an array of stuffed animals, with monkeys being among his favorites.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
