Donald J. Swiatek, age 74, of Western Springs, IL. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Stamper) for 46 memorable years; loving father of Amanda (Blayne) Sim and Adam Swiatek; dear brother of James (Carol) Swiatek; fond uncle of John (Lisa) Swiatek, Emily (Joseph) Keblusek, and Catherine (Thomas) Ratajczak; loving son of the late Wanda & late Walter Swiatek; also survived by his adored grand-pup, little Rosie.
Donald lived a caring and loyal life. He is a proud alumnus of Fenwick High School and North Central College, and attended Loyola School of Dentistry. For 44 years Donald practiced dentistry in Berwyn and was actively involved in the community. He shared his passion for travel with his family and fully embraced the companionship of his three golden retrievers, Brutus, Aspen, and Brisbane.
Visitation 4 to 8pm Monday, Aug. 18, 2025 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Mass 11am Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs. Family and friends to meet directly at church. Interment held privately. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association. Funeral Information: 708-352-6500
