Donald James Thiemann, age 91. Beloved husband of Catherine Alma Thiemann for 64 years. Loving father of Mary Ellen (Paul) Moeller, Ann Marie (Todd) Woulms, David Andrew (Marlena) Thiemann, and Nancy Thiemann (Michael) Donahue. Loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren; Daniel (Ann Marie) Moeller, Nick (Johanna) Woulms, Tim (Erin) Moeller, Ben (Kayley) Moeller, Victoria (Paul) Waller, Adam Moeller, Colleen Donahue, Sam Moeller, Vincent Thiemann, Joshua Moeller, Garrett Donahue, Alessandra Thiemann, and Diego Thiemann. Dean was also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren: Boone Waller, Cloye Waller, Nauva Woulms, Maximilian Moeller, Charlie Waller, Maxwell Waller, Jesse Dean Woulms, Rebecca Moeller, and Luke Moeller. Devoted brother of Dorothy (Don) Cook and Jim (Rose) Thiemann. Preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and William Thiemann and by his siblings, Helen (Ed) Buller, Ed (Charlene) Thiemann, Betty (Milt) Hedding, Bill (Clara) Thiemann. Dean was a Korean war veteran who was awarded a bronze star for exemplary conduct during combat. He was an award-winning draftsman at GE aircraft engines for over 30 years, specializing in gearbox design. He was a kind man and gentle soul who adored small children. Dean was also an active member of Cincinnati Kolping Society for over 50 years. Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am at St. John the Baptist church, 5361 Dry Ridge Road. Cincinnati, Ohio 45252. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
