Michael Joseph Ellert

Michael Joseph Ellert, Husband of 59 years to Nancy Sue Ellert (nee Goldschmidt). Father of Amy (Keith) Inderhees and Amanda (Brad) Landsbaum. Grandfather of Dan, Katy, Ryan, and Audrey. Brother of Mary (late Jerome) Cozart, Katherine (Bill) Bannigan, and the late Julia Ellert. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Passed September 11th, 2025 at the age of 83.

Michael was born December 2nd, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a dedicated Boy Scout and earned the Eagle Scout and the Ad Altare Dei Awards. He graduated from Roger Bacon High School in 1960 taking with him many incredible memories. He continued on to get a BSBA in marketing and a master degree from Xavier University. Michael spent many years as a teacher at Colerain High School (Cincinnati, OH) and Holy Cross High School (Latonia, KY) and was in Property Management for 40+ years. After spending 25 years in Naples Florida, he returned home to Cincinnati to finish living out his life.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Visitation Church, 3172 South Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45248. A celebration of life reception will follow the mass at the Miami Township Community Center, 3780 Shady Ln., North Bend, OH 45052.
