In Loving Memory of Donald Robert Thompsett
Born on February 4th, 1939, in Tom's River, New Jersey
Passed away on December 22nd, 2024
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Donald Robert Thompsett, lovingly known to many as Dad, Grandpa, or simply Don. At 85 years old, he left this world, but not without leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and cowboy spirit that will forever be remembered. Don lived a life true to his values-simple, and full of passion for the things he loved. From raising horses and farming hay to his fascination with guns and ammo, he embodied the essence of a cowboy's heart. His days were spent with a deep appreciation for the land and a knack for craftsmanship that shone in his work as a carpenter.
Kind, reserved, and observant, Don had a way of making people feel at ease with his carefree nature. His generosity touched countless lives, and he was never one to judge, always reminding us of the importance of being kind to people.
Above all, Don found joy and pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren, and a lot of great-grandchildren: Donald William Thompsett (son), Ruth Evelyn Hassebrock (daughter), Joseph Robert Thompsett (son), April Heather Bialuk (daughter). While the world may feel a little less bright without Don, we are comforted by the knowledge that his legacy lives on in the values he passed down and the love he so freely gave. Rest peacefully, Don. You will always be missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
Arrangements are under the compassionate direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
