Passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 82.
Predeceased by his wife, Mary; son, Donald W. Thompson; daughter, Tammy Schmitt; parents, Donald and Mary Thompson; brother, Charles Thompson; sisters, Ada Morris, Ilene Yakimiz, Elizabeth Thompson.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Michelle) Thompson; brother, Thomas (Patti) Thompson; daughter-in-law, Maureen Thompson; son-in-law, Mark Schmitt; step-daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Don moved to Rochester from Pittsburgh in the early '60s where he worked at Davenport Machine and Tool until retirement. He loved the outdoors, boating, fishing and hunting.
No services will be held due to Donald's wishes.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
