Donald was born December 8, 1945 in LaSalle to Robert and Doris (Nance) Thompson. He married Donna Yi (Chong Im) July 11, 1968, in South Korea.
He worked in the maintenance department of the Braidwood Nuclear plant.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Oglesby, a son David (Yomary de Jesus) Thompson who reside in Puerto Rico, a daughter Deb Perry of Peru, 4 grandchildren; Troy, Nena, Matthew and Amanda and 3 brothers; James Thompson of Winchester, VA, Larry (Denise) Thompson of Oglesby and Mark (Chris) Thompson of Oglesby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Robert and Richard Thompson.
