Donald Louis Tieppo

Donald Louis Tieppo, age 81, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his home.
Don was born April 25, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Alexander and Rena (Wegher) Tieppo.
Don married Elizabeth Denton on June 27,1969 Detroit, Michigan.
Don loved his family, his faith, nature, gathering at the family cabin, hunting, gardening, and hosting family and friends on his pontoon. He took great pride and solace in helping to renovate and maintain the family property, deer cabin, deer blinds and his family home.
Don will be remembered for being dedicated to his family and upholding family traditions and his connection to his roots and relatives in Italy. He was passionate about always being there for his family and friends. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather.
Don will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth of 56 years; daughter, Tonia Tieppo of Denver, Colorado; son, Anthony (Shannon McCaffery-Tieppo) Tieppo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Tyler, Mikayla, Victoria, Riley, and Ania; brothers, Leo (Carole) Tieppo of Southgate, Michigan, and John Dennis (Jean) Tieppo, of Macon, North Carolina; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Ferdinand Tieppo and Rena Wegher-Tieppo.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Mass on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with an hour of gathering prior to the mass, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
