Janette Mae Lorion, age 87, of Roscommon, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.
Janette was born November 22, 1937, in Roscommon, Michigan, the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Grandlund) Siderman.
Janette married Bruce on October 26, 1957, in Roscommon.
Janette worked for the State of Michigan as the Assistant Director / AP Supervisor at the Department of Social Services most her life until her retirement. In her spare time, she belonged to the Roscommon area Sweet Adelines, and was the director for years. She was one of the original members of the Fireman's Memorial Festival Committee and was in charge of all the vendors.
Bruce and Jan had a cottage on the lake in the UP at Curtis and spent most of the summers/falls up there after they retired.
Janette will be greatly missed by family and friends. Janette is survived by her daughter, Deborah Donnelly; grandchildren: Scott (Carrie), Joshua (Lindsey), Kirt (Christina), Kyle (Laura), and Allee; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Thomas, Caden, Asher, Brandon, Nathan, Gavin, Kamrin, Leila, Otto, and Brynlee Mae; and great-great-grandchild, Jaxon; sister, Joan (John), and brother, Gary (Carol) Siderman; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Janette is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce; her son, Charles; and sisters, Dorothy Pavek, Helen Siderman, Betty Weaver; and brother in laws, David Lorion, and Charles Lorion.
Janette's family has chosen to remember her privately at this time. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
