Donald Topping

Donald John Topping, affectionately known as 'Red' or 'Don' by his loved ones, passed away on November 21, 2024. Born on September 1, 1926, in Lambeth, Ontario, Canada, Donald led a life full of thoughtful generosity and dedicated service. An adventurous spirit, Donald was someone who found joy in the extraordinary and sought to experience life to the fullest. Whether he was flying his airplane, playing a round of golf, or simply engaging in a lively game of cards, Donald was always ready to embark on a new adventure or challenge.
Don was a man of many talents and an active member of his community. His professional life was marked by a successful career as a Custom Car Painter, specializing in Custom Striping. His eye for detail and dedication to his craft led him to retire in 1995 after many years of dedicated service. Don even obtained his pilot's license, a testament to his adventurous spirit.However, his accomplishments were not just limited to his professional life. A lover of learning, Don graduated from Watchtower Bible and Tract Society Elder School in Ithaca, New York.
A steadfast man of faith, Donald was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1941 and served as an Elder for over 50 years. He dedicated his life to expanding the preaching work and serving where the need was great. His love for Jehovah God and his family was the cornerstone of his life. His hope was to live forever on earth when Jehovah cleanses it, believing firmly in the resurrection to earth in God's due time, as he often preached, citing John 5:28-29.
Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication. He is survived by his children Gregory Paul, Jay Marcus, Dana John and Leesa Dawn. Grandchildren, Tracy Nicole, Gregory Shane, Danielle Rose, Jennifer Nicole, Matthew Dana, Brandon Seth, Taylor Shea, Alaina Nicole, Nathan John, Katheryn Elizabeth, Brock Dene, Cole Dillon, Zachary Chase. Great Grandchildren Hunter Celeste, Delilah Blue, Aria Shea, Axel James, Anakin Dana. Also his nephew Robert Gakeff was very much loved by him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Frank Topping, and his Ex-wife Joyce Gregory and beloved wife, Dorothea June.
