Donald June Trogdon

Donald June Trogdon was born June 24, 1927, in Springfield, MO to Loyd Vernon and Reva Catherine Trogdon. He was raised in Bois D' Arc, Mo, where he was given the name Trigger, and it stayed with him his whole life. After High School, Donald entered the United States Army, after his service in the Army He attended Southwest Missouri State University, where he received an engineering degree in Aerospace. Donald married Barbara Lee Melton on October 18, 1950, and eventually moved to Broken Arrow, OK, where He and Barbara raised their family. Donald was employed by Rockwell International, which became Boeing, he retired from Boeing at the age of 59. Donald's hobbies included fishing, hunting, and golf. His biggest enjoyment was being involved with his family. Shortly after Barbara's death in 2006, Donald moved back to Springfield, MO. He was active with his church and enjoyed the fellowship.
Survivors include his children, Ted Wise, Rogersville, Mike and Jaquita Trogdon, Claremore, OK, Rick and Barbara Trogdon, Purcell, OK, and Steve and Susie Trogdon, Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Chad and Carlye Trogdon, Oklahoma City, OK, Chris and Janet Trogdon, Claremore, OK, Quinn and Brandi Kroth, Purcell, OK, Lance Trogdon, Broken Arrow, OK, Kristopher Wise and wife Jennifer, of Virginia, Westin Wise and wife Gina, Springfield, and Braden Wise and wife Makayla, Springfield; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Donald's life will be at 1pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with interment in Clear Creek Cemetery. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
