Obituary
Donald Twiford age 82, of Plymouth, MN died March 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday April 22, 2023 at the Medina Ballroom in Medina, MN from 1-4 PM, benediction at 2 PM with a light lunch buffet. Don was born January 13, 1941 in Lincoln, NE to Floyd and Maude (Cromwell). Floyd and Don then moved to the Groveland area of Minnetonka where he was raised with is beloved step-mother Esther. Don retired from a successful business life creating delicious Parkers Farm Cheese and distributing Ambassador Sausage earning him the title the "Sausage King of Minneapolis" to a life of golf where he became an easygoing ranger at Hollydale Golf course in Plymouth, MN. His single greatest accomplishment, after marrying his wife Kathy of 64 years, was his 25 years of sobriety and his involvement with his Minnetonka AA group. "Those guys really helped me." were his words. Don is survived by his loving wife Kathy (Briggs), sons Greg (Peggy), RJ (Holly) daughter Sarah, six beautiful grandchildren, five wonderous great-grandchildren who all got to say goodbye before he passed and his last dog Kirby.
