Donald Wagner Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 12, 2023.
Donald E Wagner, age 93, of Louisville, Kentucky went home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 10, 2023. Don was born March 15, 1930, in Girard, Ohio and was one of six children to William and Florence Wagner. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a retired Ford Motor Company associate, and proud UAW member. During his life, Don was a faithful servant to our Lord serving as a deacon at Foster Avenue Baptist Church for more than 45 years. Next to his love for the Lord, Don loved his family, especially the youngest members, never seeing a little one he did not try to hug. Don was preceded in death by his parents and each of his siblings, Robert, Betty, William, Richard, and John.
Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Mabel (Meeks) Wagner and sons Pat Wagner (Pam) and Todd Wagner (Melissa). Don was blessed with five grandchildren, Bradley (Kyle), Matthew (Rachel), Zach (Lily), Briannah (Cody) and Allison; three great-grand daughters, Charlie, Avery, and Cameron; along with a host of family and friends who will forever remember the love of "Uncle Don."
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12:00 pm, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home and after 10:00 am Thursday until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Don's name may be directed to Children's Sunrise Services or Foster Avenue Baptist Church.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-Louisville.com for the Wagner family.
