Donald Lee Williams

Donald Lee Williams, age 75 of Boaz died February 7, 2024, at his home. He was born November 7, 1948, at Albertville Infirmary/Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Brother Welton Brooks and Bro. Jerry Wayne Hallmark officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Aroney, AL. A visitation will be held from noon until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Amos, Ben Amos, Dan Williams, Alex Reynolds, Carlos Dinarte, Alan Perry, Randall Holderfield, and Andy Smith.
He is survived by his son Chris Williams of Boaz; grandson Carl Williams of Boaz; his Siblings - sisters Susan (Gene) Brown of Gadsden and Lisa (Andy) Smith of Huntsville; brother Frankie Williams of Boaz; brother-in-law Keith Amos; sister-in-law Susan Williams; and a host of nephews, nieces, along with other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Nelson Williams and Mary Ruth Perry Williams; sister Kathy Amos; brother Tim Williams and grandparents Martin Luther and Martha Jane Williams and George and Bertie Mae Perry.
Don was a graduate of Sardis High School class of 1966 where he loved to play basketball. He retired from Goodyear after a fulfilling career as a pipefitter.
He loved his family. He enjoyed cars and trading. His favorite pastimes were gardening, cattle farming, and hunting. He was a member Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
