Donato Caruso Obituary

Donato attended Cornell University and earned his law degree at Fordham Law School. He was an attorney and Partner at The Lambos Firm in Tarrytown, NY. In his spare time, Donato enjoyed golf and was a huge fan of football along with his son and grandsons.
Donato's family was the center of his life, especially after he married Veronica Marchese at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale, NY on September 12, 1970. In addition to Veronica, he is survived by his son, Carmine and his wife, Vincene of Leesburg, VA; his daughter Gabrielle Pranzo and her husband John, of Mahopac, NY; his brother, Alexander and his wife, Renee of Delray Beach, FL and his four beloved grandchildren, John Donato, Salvatore Donato, Adrianna and Anthony, who lovingly called him "Big Papa".
Visiting will be held on Sunday, October 20 from 1-5 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 21 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac with interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY.

After sharing a couple of glasses of wine, Dan & I would invariably provide entertainment (to each other and whomever) in the form some great 1950's doo wop tunes. I'll miss him immeasurably. I was always envious of his talent in writing a legal brief. He had an innate way of making them sing with reason. Rest in peace my friend.

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER DONATO FOR HIS GREAT INTELLECT AND FANTASTIC SENSE OF HUMOR.
HE HAD A GREAT TENOR VOICE AND I WAS BOTH SURPRISED AND DELIGHTED AT A FIRM CHRISTMAS PARTY ONE YEAR WHEN HE PERFORMED A BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF AN IRISH SONG.
