Donell Gwen Ross, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother passed away on February 19, 2024, in Odessa, Texas at the age of 57. Born in Monahans, Texas on June 5, 1966, to Chester Milson and Jo Fern Kasner Donell was a kind-hearted soul who dedicated her life to helping others through her work in the medical field.
Donell was a proud graduate of Monahans High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Radiology from Odessa College. She shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her husband Troy Ross, and together they created a life filled with love and cherished memories. Donell was a family-oriented person, finding immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
Outside of her professional life, Donell enjoyed simple pleasures like cooking with her grandchildren and watching documentaries and movies. She found comfort and relaxation in these moments. She had a fondness for making others laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Viewing will begin on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 8:00PM, with family being present from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Donell is preceded in death by Her parents Jo Fern and Chester Milson, Daughter Meghann Ross, Sisters: Darla Moore and Dorinda Milson.
Donell is survived by her husband of 38 years, Troy Ross; her daughter, Malea Hooper; and grandchildren Allison, Abraham and Avaleigh Hooper; sisters, Deneisa Milson, Delaine Parker, and Mercedes Milson; Brother, Wesley Milson. Among many beautiful nieces and nephews.
