Donna Hoppe Argabright, age 68 of Gatesville, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at the Grace Assembly Christian Church with Pastor Wray Nunn officiating. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at Scott’s Funeral Home.
Donna Hoppe Argabright was born in Corsicana, Texas on June 22, 1956. She was raised by her late father Alvin Edgar Hoppe and late mother Dorothy Keele Hoppe in Corsicana, where she completed grade school. She went on to graduate from the Vogue College of Cosmetology in Waco and worked as a beautician for many years. She was a dedicated lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Donna’s devotion to her faith was reflected in her gentle spirit and generous heart. She loved her church family dearly and found great joy and comfort in fellowship, worship, and serving others. Her presence brought warmth and joy, and her memory will continue to inspire those who loved her.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Edgar Hoppe and Dorothy Keele Hoppe and her sister, Debra Freeman. She is survived by her siblings, Walter “Peewee” Hoppe, Eddy Hoppe, Larry “Bubba” Hoppe and wife Lisa, Ardie McCaslin, Becky Newton and husband, Wayne, Carla Mink, and Sissy Leonard and husband, Ed; children Joseph Argabright and girlfriend, Lescel, Tina Donaldson, Alex Argabright and wife, Yessi, and Mistie Madrid and husband, Jessie; grandchildren Kodie New and husband, Philip, Kacie Alonzo and husband, Juan, Jeffrey Donaldson Jr. and wife, McKenna, Abby Argabright, Avah Argabright, Jacob Argabright, Willow Argabright, Madelyn Argabright, and Grace Argabright; great grandchildren Havyn New, Myles New, Bentley Alonzo, Scarlett Alonzo, Kolsen Donaldson, Kollyns Donaldson; dear friends Jannetta Spencer, Lynn Drenkel and Thelma Nunn; and an extensive list of extended family and loved ones.
