Donna Parker Barefoot

Benson, NC: Mrs. Donna Parker Barefoot, age 62, of Benson passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Rev. Billy Nowell and Rev. Richard Whitman will officiate.   

Mrs. Barefoot was born on March 4, 1961 in Harnett County to the late Bevie Parker Raynor.  Along with her mother, Mrs. Barefoot was preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy Raynor.  Mrs. Barefoot loved working as a substitute teacher at South Johnston High School, which she did for many years.  She found great joy in cooking, and won many awards at both county and state fairs.  Mrs. Barefoot loved her community of Meadow, North Carolina, where she lived for the majority of her life.

Surviving members of her family include her husband of 43 years, Samuel Barefoot; sons, Chad Barefoot and wife, Lori, and Christopher Barefoot and wife, Jacqueline; grandchildren, Jacen Barefoot, Anakin Barefoot, Jaina Barefoot, Cass Barefoot and Ruby Cate Barefoot; sisters, Gail Edwards, Sondra Bass, and Laura Lee Raynor; along with nephews and nieces, Michael Barefoot, Tiffany Blackman, Tyler Bass, Kasey Dudley, Lee Bass, Sueanna Bass, Daniel Wood, Amber Pittman, Joseph Barefoot, and Jacob Barefoot.
