Donna Elaine "Mammie" Bell-Kopp

Donna "Mammie" Elaine Bell-Kopp, 73, of North Liberty died on December 1, 2024 at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville with family by her side.
A graveside committal service will be at 2:30pm on Friday, December 6 at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty with James Donar of Faith Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Donna's family in care of Martha Donar.
Donna was born on August 28, 1951 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Knight) Moushon.
Donna was a 1969 graduate of East Peoria Community High School. After graduation, Donna began working for Canteen Food Service at Morton Caterpillar, later at AD Caterpillar and finally retiring after 31 years at Mossville Caterpillar.
She married Ronald "Ron" Kopp on November 22, 1996 in Pekin, IL. Donna and Ron lived in Paxton, IL, then in Cascade and Washington IA before moving into the Iowa City area in 2016.
Donna was a lively, comical person with a wicked sense of humor. She never hesitated to tell a dirty joke or two. Donna loved her family and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need, or as notoriously she would ask if you were hungry and wanted a bite of food she happened to be eating. She was a foodie and loved chocolate. Donna enjoyed watching old western movies, the Beverly Hillbillies and Steve Harvey Family Feud. She enjoyed word search puzzles and a game of Rummy. Donna and her husband enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers.
Donna is survived by her daughter Martha and son-in-law Jeff Donar of Coralville; granddaughter Emily Bell (Sean Haussman) of Iowa City; grandson Jason Bell of Coralville; grandson Jayden Donar of Coralville; great-grandchild Melinda Schrodermier of Iowa City; siblings Charles (Dawn) Moushon of East Peoria, IL and Rebecca (Michael) Provenzano of Whitmore Lake, MI. Donna is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ron.
