Donna Ann (McMullan) Biggers, left this world on July 18, 2024, to join the angels. She passed away peacefully at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Donna was born on September 27, 1960, in Magnolia, AR and was a faithful member of the Pentecostals of Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Drewy Don "D.D. (Whip) McMullan and sister, Tammy McMullan Stevenson. Donna married, Sam Biggers, of Camden, AR, and they shared a beautiful journey of 19 years together; she is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Annelle "Nell" (Emerson) and Lenard Hunter of Magnolia, AR; brother, Robert McMullan (Judy) of West Frankfort, IL; sister, Shanna Owen (Charles) of Waldo, AR; nephews and nieces, A.J. McMullan (Stephanie), Justin McMullan (Isis), Monica Johnston (Ian), Chandler Owen, and Logan Stevenson; faithful canine companion, Doc; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family, and a circle of friends and coworkers who admired and loved her.
In 1979, Donna embarked on a remarkable 40-year career in nursing, specializing in obstetrics. She began her journey in healthcare by attending a nursing program where she earned her LPN. She furthered her education by obtaining a bachelor's degree in nursing from Southern Arkansas University.
Donna's professional life was predominantly spent at the Magnolia City Hospital in the obstetrics unit. Except for a brief three-year period at the Ouachita Medical Center in Camden, AR, Donna devoted her entire career to serving the community of Magnolia. Her colleagues and patients will remember her as a highly skilled nurse who approached each day with a loving heart and a gentle touch.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Wylie and Pastor Dwayne Dycus officiating. Burial will follow at Christies Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Leaks, Scott Armstrong, Scott Reeves, Michael Biggers, Vance Dycus, and Charles Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff whom she worked with for so many years at Magnolia City Hospital.
Donna's family would like to thank her longtime best friend, Kristi, for being there during her time of need.
