Donna Kay Stanton Brooks February 10, 1953 – July 10, 2025
Donna Kay Stanton Brooks, age 72, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend, Donna touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, creativity, and kindness. She never met a stranger, always offering a smile and genuine conversation to those around her.
Born to the late William and Helen Stanton, Donna was a true artisan at heart who found joy in shopping, sewing, crafting, and making beautiful jewelry. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved most.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, William "Willie" Klaus; brother, Steven Stanton; sister, Catherine Stanton; and nephew, Anthony Stanton.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband, Donnie Brooks; loving daughter, Donna (Rod) Tusek; treasured grandchildren, Sid (Laura) Tusek and Briana (Paul) Tusek; and adoring great-grandchildren, Cooper Tusek, Enola Tusek, and Alex Tusek. She also leaves behind her siblings: William Allen (Kathy) Stanton, Anthony Dewayne (Debbie) Stanton, and Cynthia (Johnny) Hix; niece and best friend, Lisa (Bobby) Quinn; nieces, Charla Clarke, Katie (Palmer Hillis) Stanton, and Ashley Stanton; great-niece, Hannah Clarke; nephews, Chris Stanton and Dustin Stanton; and great-nephews, Kaylon Stanton, Landon Stanton, Kai Stanton, and Carson Hillis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the Funeral Service from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Roselawn Cemetery, located off Murfreesboro Road.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jonathan Grisham.
