Donna Sue Butler, 74 of Marion, OH, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2022. On May 23, 1948, the late Thurman Turner and Freda Moore would welcome her into the world in Wayland, KY. This would be the start to a long and memory-filled life.
Donna worked at the Marion County Job and Family Services in Marion for 21 years. In her early years, she worked her first job at the Harding Hotel. She loved to help people and was a mom to everyone she knew. Being a woman of faith, she attended the Free Will Baptist Church when she could. In her free time, she could be found reading a book or playing scrabble. Donna even used to paint. She also enjoyed card games and loved playing with her family. She loved her family dearly and tried to make every get-together memorable. She often was the fortune teller for everyone at Halloween.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Kathy Bentley, and her nephew; Shane Bowlin.
She is survived by her son; Jason "Jake" Butler of Marion, OH, daughter; Andrea "Andie" Turner of Marion, OH, her sisters; Tommie Timmons of LaRue, OH, Sheila (Doug) Quick and Vicki (Bob) Tanner, both from Plant City, FL, her grandchildren; Aiden Thee Butler and Kensington Smith.
The family would like to invite anyone who knew and cherished Donna to join them for visitation hours at the Boyd Funeral Home on November 17, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a memorial service held immediately after visitation. The family would like any donations to go to their GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/dc6c53a9 me page or to the Alzheimer's Association. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Donna's family during their time of need.
