Donna Chaffee, a beloved soul whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, left this world on May 21, 2025, after a valiant battle with illness. Born on July 9, 1964, in Hempstead, New York, Donna grew into a loving and caring woman whose family always came first.
Throughout her career, Donna dedicated many years to the medical field, where her kindness and empathy were evident in every patient interaction. However, it was her dream job at LEGOLAND that truly brought her joy. It was there that she could share her spirited enthusiasm and creativity, crafting memorable experiences for children and families alike.
Donna found immense pride and fulfillment in her greatest accomplishments – her children and grandchildren. She was the proud mother of Mathew Chaffee, who resides in Copperas Cove, Texas; Sean Chaffee of New York; and Emily Chaffee of Belton. With her two cherished grandchildren, Madeline and Ethan, she forged a bond built on love and laughter that will live on through their cherished memories of her.
Her sister, Debbie Graham, also feels the deep ache of loss along with the countless family members and friends who had the privilege of knowing such a beautiful and giving spirit.
Beyond her professional life, Donna immersed herself in her hobbies, finding joy in crafts, painting, photography, and, most importantly, the time spent with her family. Her home was always filled with love and creativity, and her infectious smile brought light to every gathering.
Donna is preceded in death by her devoted husband, David Chaffee, and her beloved mother, Linda Koprowski. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved her dearly.
As we remember Donna, let us celebrate the love she gave and the memories she created. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who carry forward her legacy of caring for one another. Her life was a testament to the strength of family bonds, the beauty of creativity, and the virtue of love.
