Tracy Chaffee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rivertown Funeral Chapel (Ramsay FH Group) on Jan. 12, 2026.
Tracy Chaffee, a cherished soul known for her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at McVey Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Born on January 4, 1963, in Clare County, Michigan.
Tracy's early education at the Arnold Center laid a foundation for a life filled with curiosity and a love for learning.
A true friend and confidante, Tracy shared an unbreakable bond with her special friend Waneta Sudman. Their relationship was akin to sisterhood, filled with shared moments, laughter, and unwavering support.
Tracy's interests were as colorful and diverse as her collection of pencils, which she meticulously sorted by color. Her passion for music was evident to all who knew her, especially her love for Elvis. Tracy could often be found swaying to his tunes, her face alight with joy as she danced to the rhythm of her favorite songs.
A simple pleasure that Tracy looked forward to was her trip to the beauty shop, where she would revel in the pampering and the transformation that made her feel refreshed and beautiful. She also had a fondness for savoring a cold pop, a simple indulgence that brought her immense pleasure.
Those who knew Tracy will remember her for her humor and spirited nature. She had the rare ability to find humor in the everyday, a quality that drew people to her and made every encounter with her a delightful experience. Her spirit was a beacon of light that could brighten even the darkest of days.
