Donna Carper Clisso

CLISSO, Donna Carper, 60, of Mechanicsville, Va., born in Bluefield, W.Va., passed away suddenly on May 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Edith Carper; maternal grandparents, Henry and Florence Sammons; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Ann Clisso. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Clisso; stepson, Steven (Savannah) Clisso; parents, Bill and Minta Carper; sisters, Debra Kipp and Diana (Mike) Gates; and brother, Billy (Sherry) Carper; father-in-law, Steven Eugene Clisso; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her devoted fur baby, Bella. Donna went to high school in Belfry, Ky. and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology from Bluefield State University. She was an accomplished consultant with in the field of supply-chain management and was awarded General Manager of the Year at Owens & Minor in 2011. She was employed at RBCI as Senior Change Management Consultant at the time of her death. Donna was a gregarious person whose self-deprecating humor made those that knew her laugh. She had a strong work ethic and enjoyed shopping and getting together with those in her circle. She will be sorely missed. Donna loved her Christian faith in God and her church community at Staples Mills Road Baptist Church. She and Ken were baptized there and grew in their faith together where she was wonderfully supported by that community and her brother, Billy. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 13, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a service afterward to be held at Staples Mills Road Baptist Church, 10101 Staples Mill Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23060 with Pastor Jim Booth officiating.
